Background: Physical activity affects sleep quality through circadian rhythm regulation. Medical students often experience reduced physical activity due to heavy academic demands. This study aimed to examine the relationship between physical activity and sleep quality in the 2024 cohort. Method: This cross-sectional study involved 192 students, with 142 respondents selected using the Lemeshow formula, population correction, and an additional 10% for dropout. Data collection took place from September to November 2025. Physical activity was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-SF), and sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Data was obtained through standardized questionnaires and analyzed descriptively and with the Chi-square test (? = 0.05). Results: Most respondents had moderate physical activity (46.5%), and 52.1% showed good sleep quality. A significant association was found between physical activity and sleep quality (p = 0.041). Discussion: Higher physical activity was associated with better sleep quality, in line with physiological mechanisms where exercise supports circadian rhythm stability and enhances hormonal regulation. Conclusion: Physical activity shows a significant relationship with sleep quality, with higher levels of activity leading to better sleep quality
